Hi list members !

Tracing down our problem described in my earlier mail with dlt7000 and stk9740 using NetBackup + ACSLS we want Netbackup to leave mounted tapes longer in the dlt dlt drives. The bp.conf entry MEDIA_UNMOUNT_DELAY only applies to UserOperations. So is there a way to control Netbackups mount and unmount behaviour for standard schedules ?!? I know this is possible in Legato Networker but with NetBackup ?!?

Any help is appreciated ...

Regards

I am also running into similar problems but this is with the duplicates. For each multiplxed image it mounts and unmounts the tape even though there are still images needs to be duplicated. I posted the similar question and I haven't got any response.

Any Ideas ?

To avoid this during duplicating, I put all of the images from a specific tape
into a file and use the -bidfile option with bpduplicate. I also use the -mpx
option so the source is read once and duplicated once.

fyi... -mpx option and -altreadhost option can not be used together!!! This
was verified by support.

It works great and doesn't cause the problems with multiple unnecessary mounts
like you're mentioning.
